Last week Dave changed the oil in the van after work one evening. Instead of staying at the Coast House while he worked on the car up at the shop, I suggested that we get take out dinner and have a picnic. Eddie decided on the picnic spot.

Are you surprised at his choice? I'm not.
My dad later commented that I probably influenced his affection for gravel/rocks/dirt since I've been letting him play in the stuff since he was a wee babe. No regrets, here, though. It's cheap, abundant, and boosts his immune system.
