Whew...I got everything done on my to-do list (from yesterday) except measuring for counter tops. Since Dave and I don't have anything major to do this weekend I'm hoping we can measure them together and then head to Lowe's to order them.
I really want to see the new movie, Julie & Julia this weekend. My mom bought me the book a few years ago and I just loved it. The girl's writing is quite clever...and any book about cooking is right up my alley. Since then I've also read Julia Child's last book, written by her and her nephew just before she died.
Growing up, we didn't have cable and were only really allowed to watch public television shows. So along with Sesame Street, Edward and I watched a lot of This Old House, Yan Can Cook, The Frugal Gourmet, and--of course--Julia Child. (No wonder I love cooking!) I found boxed sets of all these shows from the 1980s on Amazon and I'm hoping to order them so Eddie can watch them when he's little, too.
I've been having Braxton-Hicks contractions for several months and luckily they've never been painful. Late last night I noticed a few as I was laying in bed using the laptop...excited, I got a pen, a pad of paper, and a watch. But then I fell asleep before the next one started. I kept waking up in the middle of the night having to pee and noticing that I was also having a contraction...but I kept falling asleep and my hopes for labor didn't pan out.
I'm so excited to finally meet Eddie that part of me wants him to come ASAP...but I also know that life will never, ever again be the same after that so another part of me also want his delivery delayed for a few more days so I can spend more time with Dave, the dogs, and Edward (...and so I can go see Julie & Julia!!).
Anyway, I'm sure he'll come when he's good and ready. =)

ooo-I am seeing that this weekend with Elizabeth and my grandma! Also, no one asked me, but I will say. Sometimes when my bladder was full it would make me have a contraction...the end. I am excited for pictures!!!!
